Plastic injection molding is the production of plastic parts in large quantities. CVA Plastic has vast know-how in manufacturing for the following industries: life sciences, baby care, cosmetics, optics and automobile.
The process consists of four stages: clamping, injection, cooling, and ejection. In the clamping stage the two halves of the mold are securely closed while the material is injected in the plastic injection molding machine by being melted under high pressure. The molten plastic begins to cool down immediately after making contact with the interior mold surface. After the material is cooled down and solidified, it is released by opening the two halves of the mold machine in order to create a solid plastic product with a predetermined shape.
